Republic Wireless New Pricing Model starts at $5.00

Republic Wireless, the first company who offers no contract cellular phone service with  unlimited minutes, text and data for $19.00 will change their pricing structure when they release the new MOTO X phone from Motorola.  The new pricing structure is as follows.

Option 1:  $5.00 /month Wi-Fi Only:  This basic plan will let you call, text and browse web only when you are connected on Wi-Fi signal. This means it is only good if you have access to Wi-Fi signal 100% of the time.

Option 2:  $10.00 /month Wi-Fi + Cell Talk and Text: The second level plan is a great deal for users such as myself who would like to be able to have access to cell phone and text as needed. This plan does not include access to the data plan meaning, you can only access the web and check your facebook if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Option 3:  $25.00 /month Wi-Fi + Cell + 3G access:  This plan is the best deal that you can get with Republic Wireless. You will be able to call, text and access data at anytime.

Option 4:  $40.00 /month Wi-Fi + Cell + 4G access: This plan will let you talk, text and access data at anytime at 4G speed. This is mainly for users who wanted have access on the fastest network available.

Beta Users Option:

Option 5:  $19.00 /month Wi-Fi + Cell + 3G access: This plan will still be available for Beta Users. As long as they keep their phone from the first beta release phone LG Optimus to the last beta phone Motorola Defy XT. From what I have heard, you must get in and by September 25, 2013 in order for you to get and keep this plan. Beta users will also be given a 10% discount if they chose to select one of the new pricing option. New users signing in beginning September 26th will have to select the new pricing option.

Note:  3G and 4G speeds is subjected to the Republic Wireless threshold. When you reach the threshold limit, your data may be scaled down to 2G speed. Why I said may be scaled down? Well, Republic wireless seem to be more forgiving on this and their threshold is also based on the usage of the whole republic wireless users.  At this time the threshold is 5GB of cellular data or 100MB of roaming data. Republic claims that they will give you a pass and let you exceed your limit once in every six months period. Since the Republic Wireless phone is configured to automatically switch to Wi-Fi, it will be very hard for you to reach this threshold according to their research.

Is your monthly cell phone bill higher than any of the option above?  If it is, then it is time to ditch that old plan and switch to Republic Wireless.
